Lessons this summer has held

Middle School Retreat- My first experience as a middle school leader. Learning how to relate to the kids and watching them interact was a blast.
Mission trip- Learning that middle schoolers go deeper then their sometimes skin deep appearance.

Many trips to New Braunfels to hang out with Bethany and Bekah - Working hard for friendships, no matter the distance, is worth it.

Swim parties- Never sneak into a nicer, gated community...always use the gate code.
Lazer quest- Middle schoolers have incredible amounts of energy!
Malibu grand prix-Putt Putt is meant to be be played at full speed:)
Movie night- Kicking and screaming was kind of a dumb movie:)
Many coffee dates- I LOVE one on one conversations with some of my closest friends. I feel like I grow the most there. I love connecting with people.

Austin trip with Jana- An entire day to discuss life and spend some much needed time together was amazing. Of course pictures were taken and fun was had:)

Alto frio- Softball is meant to be played full speed and super competative.....therefore one should always wear the proper equipment so as not to rip all the skin off one's shin.....Late night talks with Alysa down by the river were amazing. I'm gonna miss that kid.
Nate's visit- I love that kid:) Being an aunt is the best:) The house fills with relatives wanting to see my nephew:)
Ultimate frisbee- You realize you are too competative when you deck your lil brother to get a frisbee.
Dog sitting Hurley all summer- Jared and Jess's beagle puppy.....we didn't really get along all that well but she is a cutie:)

Brother moved away- Saying goodbye is not fun....seeing him go after his dream is
Sleepover- I think this was the only sleepover I had all summer. It was a blast and full of music, a movie, and discussions 'til the wee hours of the morning.
Topher and Kari's Wedding- I loved getting to see two great friends of mine get married, to each other:) How awesome.

Holding a 12 hour old baby- The youngest baby I've ever held. Jonathan Daniel Salisbury. He just so happens to be the baby of one of my closest friends. What a special and fun moment:) love you sarah:)
Austin trip with the girls- I never realized I enjoyed antique shopping but that was a blast:) I love Texas so much. Remind me of that when I think it's too hot to stay here.

Schlitterbahn- An entire day at the biggest water park in Texas with the middle schoolers:) What a fun day full of rides, friends, and people watching.
Air Conditioner Breaking- the day Whitney and Nate left, the air conditioner broke and we had to improvise with window units in part of the house til it got fixed....Texas is hotttt
Enchanted Rock with awesome friends- 100+ weather but what a good time:)
Saying goodbye to my friends that left town for school- Goodbyes suck.........Seeing people you've grown up with move across the state sucks.
What an amazing summer. I wouldn't change one thing. I've grown so much and seen God work so much. Thank you Lord for the blessing of amazing family and friends. I love you guys so much. I was sitting in sunday school in may last semester and the teacher's lesson was about not wasting your summer....I can honestly say that I strove to try to not waste it and I am happy with my summer:) What a great time. Goodbye summer. Hello college.
