Broad is The Road that Leads to Destruction

The many paths of life are interesting to me. I see the many ways my friends in the past and present are taking their lives. The choices they make, the friends they keep, and the morals they live by all affect their path. Some friends of mine are sold out to Christ. They want nothing more with their lives then to persue a life with God. Some friends choose to live a life caught in the middle and settling for mediocrity. There is one more group. The ones that decide that God is a restiction on their lives that they can toss aside. An old friend of mine chose that path. She was always rebellious but still showed that she loved the Lord. She loved missions work. I remember a conversation I had with her once she returned from a trip in Asia. She was so pumped and on fire. She loved the trip so much and loved seeing God work....fast forward several years and her life is the complete opposite. She rebelled against God a final time. She decided that she wanted to live her own life and is doing just that. I miss her a lot. She is a fun girl that I usually got along with. We had our disagreements here and then but we got along well. I think about her often and just pray that God will open her eyes to what she is doing. I've never had such a close friend walk away from their relationship with God. I kind of saw it coming but it still saddened me. The Bible says to "Enter through the narrow gate. For wide is the gate and broad is the road that leads to destruction, and many enter through it. But small is the gate and narrow the road that leads to life, and only a few find it." (Matt. 7:13-14) While this is true it is still hard to watch close friends take the broad path that leads to destruction......
