Fearless

Dictionaries define this as having no fear or having boldness. I think I've decided life will never be without fear of something. There will always be a fear in your heart about something. I defined fear for a friend as not necessarily having no fear but recognizing your fear, giving it to God, and pushing forward despite your fears. The boldest people I know still  have fear, they have recognized it and given that fear to God. A lot of times I wallow in my fears and think "how can I not fear this?" The thing is, on my own I will never be fearless. Joshua 1:9 says "Have I not commanded you? Be strong and of good courage; do not be afraid, nor be dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go." I love that He doesn't say "be fearless" He says " do not be afraid...for the Lord your God is with you." How awesome is that? When I fear the future or fear situations I tend to feel like I'm failing God because I'm not super woman. Sometimes being super woman would be nice, but not having everything down causes me to lean on God a lot more. Fear causes me to lean on God a lot more. Thank you Lord for being my rock.
