Faith or Fear?

2 Timothy 1:7

For God did not give us a spirit of timidity, but a spirit of power, of love and of self-discipline.I

love this verse so much, altho I have trouble believing/pursuing/doing it. I read this verse a few days ago during a retreat and the main thing I thought of was our nation. So many people I hear(christians) are terrified of this man about to take over our nation. As Christians, we have been called to a life of faith, not fear. I'm sick of hearing the outright fear from people about the state of our nation. Do what you can to help, but have faith that God will see you through. He's promised to "never leave you nor forsake you" (Josh 1:9). Why would He abandon us now? He won't. Instead of spreading fear about the president elect, we should be praying FOR him. We are called to love our enemies. Whether or not you like the man, you should love him because God does. Pray that Godly men and woman would influence his daily life. Pray that God would use him for God's glory. This man could be dangerous. He could lead the nation on a road that we don't want it on. But even if that happens, God is still here, still holding on just like when W is in office. This man could legalize abortion, but you know what? Maybe that will awaken the church and show people that life in America isn't perfect and they'll do something about it. This man is different and has different views, but he will be our president in a few months. I'm gonna be praying for him. Will you?
