Lessons in Leadership

I find a lot of times, when leading students, that I don't really know what to do, or I don't know what God is doing. I tend to see later, as I look back, and say "oh that is cool how that turned out." However, when I am in the moment or time that things get crazy, I often wonder how I am gonna go about it. I have really seen that I need to be working with students. I love that God pushed me to do this ministry because it is challenging but rewarding too. I love learning to deal with different situations. Like learning to keep my cool when someone is mouthing off and distracting the group. It is cool to see kids get things too. A smile came over my face as a certain kid walked into the youth room today and I thought back to the begining of their story in relation to our students. This student wasn't a believer but knew one of my girls and she led them to the Lord and now they attend our youth group and sunday school with her. She picks them up and takes them home constantly. I am proud of her for stepping out and making a commitment like that. It is cool to see one of my girls pull out her bible on the camping trip and read a passage aloud to the group because her dad texted her an encouraging passage. Other times it is hard to see the kids go through hard times and know that you only know half of what is going on and even that looks rough. I am definitely learning a lot from these girls. Thank You Lord for each and every one of them:)
