Of Rooms and Being 18

Cleaning up my room this afternoon for my birthday party, I spent some time thinking about my room. It's what I call "in the works." I moved into that room a little bit over a year ago and It's finally coming around to close to what I want it to be. I love those rooms where there is just crazy random but cool stuff all over the walls. Memories or items that are important to me linger on the walls. I save random things and put them on my walls. I have always wanted a room that someone could spend quite some time looking at the different pictures on the wall. I love those rooms. A room says a lot about someone. I saw one of the middle schooler's rooms that is in our youth group and her room was "perfect". It didn't have anything on the wall but everything was in place. I couldn't stand it. It didn't feel lived in. I don't know why that repulses me but my room won't ever look that way(partly because I can't keep it that clean but mostly because I couldn't stand it). Cleaning my room today made me come across a few things that brought back memories of this year. My 18th year comes to close in a little over an hour. I LOVED it. I wouldn't change it one bit. The lessons learned, friends gained, and the relationship with God deepened are all worth it. I'm sooo blessed. God is letting me lead a life beyond my wildest dreams. Thank you Lord. Bring on being 19....that's all I've got to say.
