The Innocence Of Children

Babies fascinate me. I'm not the biggest fan of baby sitting because it becomes a job but I love playing with little kids and babies. I was sitting in church yesterday and I couldn't help but watch the beautiful little girl sitting a few rows in front of me. She has the brightest blue eyes and curly blonde hair. Reminded me of my baby pictures only with curly hair. She was probably 1 or 2 years old and not at that stage in life where she wanted to sit still while the pastor taught. She was just talking to her mom and crawling all over. Innocent as can be. My friends nephew was also sitting behind me and he is the cutest little boy. He looks just like his uncle and reminds me a lot of him. I could watch him and listen to him for hours in fascination. I never had much of a liking for kids when I was younger. I rarely noticed them. Once my brothers were out of that age I could have cared less about little kids. Then I became good friends with who is now my best friend and her little sisters are the cutest kids on earth. We talk about all kinds of things and the oldest tells me all sorts of stories. She just turned 4 and will tell you all about it. The other is 2 and is the sweetest kid. I think she missed the class on the terrible twos. Yesterday I was at their house and she comes up to me as I'm sitting on the couch and says in the cutest voice "Hi der Tay Tay!" and then gave me a big hug. For my 18th birthday the girls drew me cards and they hang in my room to remind me of my little friends:) Of course my favorite is the little boy that lives in Virginia and is coming to see me in July. Nate will be my favorite until I have kids I think:) Of course he could have siblings (wink wink Whit) and then I wouldn't be able to choose. Then there is the curly red head that comes into town occasionally who apparently is just like me.....doesn't surprise me. All this to say that kids are amazing and their innocence is a nice break from this world.
